Alexandra Library is committed to designing web sites, databases,
online catalog pages, and other web pages that are compatible with
assistive technology software for the visually impaired. However,
the Library subscribes to online resources hosted by third-party
vendors and some of these pages may not be readable by the various
brands of assistive technology software available to the public.
If you are using "JAWS for Windows" and
are having difficulty reading web pages on the Library's web site,
you will need to make adjustments to the applications to enable
the software to read web pages designed with frames. Open the application
and select "Options" from the top toolbar. Select "Utilities"
from this menu. Choose "Frame Viewer" and scan the Frames
list until you locate "Enable Frame". Select "Enable
Frame", save and close the menu. The JAWS software should now
be able to read through information and identify links in all frames
on the Library's web site.
If you continue to have difficulty accessing any material
on this site because of a disability, please feel free to contact
us and we will work with you to make the information available.
