Spring Fling at Barrett Branch

Offering fun events that will put a spring in your step, Barrett Branch Library presents three All Alexandria Reads activities for all ages to enjoy on Saturday, May 4. The festivities begin at 10 a.m., with a book sale where you can save on discounted books, CDs, DVDs and more. Next at 11 a.m., the branch welcomes prize-winning journalist, Kenneth T. Walsh, who will discuss his new book, Prisoners of the White House: the Isolation of America's Presidents and the Crisis of Leadership. Walsh is the Chief White House correspondent for U.S. News & World Report, where for over two decades he has covered the past five presidencies. At 3 p.m., the talented musician Kofi Dennis entertains the crowd, bringing books to life and offering interactivity for the entire family. We hope that you join us!
