How do I reserve one of the library "meeting rooms"?
Four meeting rooms are available for patron use at Alexandria Library:
Beatley Central Large Meeting Room (Capacity 10 – 150 people)
Beatley Central Small Conference Room (Capacity 2 – 10 people)
Burke Branch Meeting Room (Capacity 2 – 90 people)
Duncan Branch Meeting Room (Capacity 2 – 50 people)
These rooms are available to patrons and their organizations for meetings of an educational, cultural or civic nature. To reserve a room, you must be a library cardholder in good standing (no fines or fees on your account) who lives in, or owns property in, the City of Alexandria, or works for the City of Alexandria. Rooms must be reserved at least a week in advance. All events taking place in the meeting rooms will be listed on the Meeting Room Calendar.
To request a meeting room online, please use the Meeting Room Calendar. Select a room and click on the date to see what time the room is available.
Paper room requests (applications in .pdf forms are listed below) can be taken at each Library. Please also read the regulations for reserving and using a meeting room. Representatives will respond to requests as soon as possible and normally within 72 hours (weekends and holidays excluded).
