Teen Summer Reading Program -- Beneath the Surface

Alexandria Library presents its teen summer reading program, "Beneath the Surface." Teenagers can sign up to read five books or more, and participants names will be entered in a drawing to win one of four prizes.

Rediscover Mid-Century Modern Furniture at Beatley Central

As the saying goes, everything old is new again.  Watch a variety of home decorating television shows and you'll notice that the popular furniture that once donned the set of "The Brady Bunch" is making a comeback. The clean, simple furniture design that emerged in the 1950s and 1960s will be the featured topic for Beatley Central Library's workshop, "Rediscover Mid-Century Modern Furniture: Design and Current Popularity," on Tuesday, June 18 at 7 p.m.

Paws to Read at Beatley Central and Duncan Branch
