Author and journalist Michael Lee Pope will speak about his new book, Shotgun Justice: One Prosecutor's Crusade Against Crime and Corruption in Alexandria and Arlington. The book details Alexandria's hidden history as the capital of gambling, vice and corruption in Northern Virginia. Saturday, February 9, 2013, 1:30-3:00p.m.

Alter's compelling story of clashing religions, castes, and cultures was nominated, "Book of the Year," by Foreword Magazine in 2007.
