Does Alexandria Library offer "eBooks"?
Yes. The library provides eBooks accessible from various databases and electronic subscription services.

eBooks on EBSCO (formerly NetLibrary)
The Library provides eBook materials through our EBSCOHost database. Patrons can "checkout" some titles for 7 days. The eBook, in PDF form, can be checked out and downloaded to a computer or for transfer to a portable device reader. Only materials with a "CHECKOUT AND DOWNLOAD" in the review box are available for download. Patrons must establish a EBSCO eBook account (a library card number is required) before they can checkout and download materials. Please note, our online catalog does not provide direct links to all eBooks on EBSCO titles. Please access EBSCOHost's title search and browse feature via the Library’s online database link.
Does the library support a particular eBook reader?
Most eBook readers and portable devices that support eBooks are compatible with the library's eBook providers. Please consult the device compatibility section in each database providers system compatiblilty specifications and requirements section.
Download File Error: "File Format Not Compatible..."
Many patrons report that they cannot open, download or run eBook (.EPUB, .PDF) or downloadable audio book files from OverDrive (.ODM) on their computers. A quick way to make sure your computer is setup to open these file types is to check your computers "file associations". This simply is a way for your computer to know which files to open and run with specific applications.
