Driving Directions:
From the Beltway, Prince Georges County, Maryland, via the Woodrow
Wilson Bridge:
Merge onto US-1 North via Exit 177B toward Alexandria/Arlington.
Turn left onto E Custis Ave.
Turn right onto Mt Vernon Ave.
Turn left onto E Uhler Ave.
The library is across from the school. Make a right into our parking lot. There is library parking in front of the building.
From Virginia, via I-95 North and 395:
Merge onto I-395, toward Washington via Exit 170A/B.
Merge onto VA-120 South/South Glebe Road via Exit 7.
Turn slight right onto Mount Vernon Avenue.
Turn right onto East Uhler Avenue.
You will see Mount Vernon Elementary School on your right.
The library is across from the school. Make a right into our parking
lot. There is library parking in front of the building.
From the Beltway North, Montgomery County, and I 270:
Get off at the George Washington Parkway going south. This is the first
exit in Virginia after the American Legion Bridge. This is about 7 or
8 miles.
Turn right onto Wythe Street.
Turn right onto North Patrick Street/US-1 North. Continue to follow
US-1 North.
Turn left onto East Monroe Avenue.
Turn right onto Mount Vernon Avenue.
Turn left onto East Uhler Avenue.
You will see Mount Vernon Elementary School on your right.
The library is across from the school. Make a right into our parking
lot. There is library parking in front of the building.
From McLean, Great Falls, and nearby points.
Follow the George Washington Parkway south, as above.
From Route 50 on the Virginia side:
Go east until you are practically at the river. There will be a sign
that says Alexandria via the George Washington Parkway and follow it
south as above.
From the District:
Cross on either Memorial Bridge or 14th Street Bridge and look for signs
for Alexandria. Then follow the George Washington Parkway south as above.
The Key Bridge and Teddy Roosevelt Bridge do not have easy access to
the Parkway.

From the Metro:
The closest metro stop is Braddock, at least one mile south of Duncan
Branch. Walk north on Mt. Vernon Avenue. Turn left onto East Uhler Avenue.

is library parking in front of the building.
