Ellen Coolidge Burke Monday: 10am-9pm |
Named for the long-serving Library Director, the Ellen Coolidge Burke Branch reopened on March 4, 2002. View the floor plan developed by architects Murray & Associates for this new, full service branch.
Highlights of this new library are:
>>   The upper level has library services for all ages with a separate
children's area.
>>   A glass enclosed stairwell and new elevator have been added
to the present structure.
>>   A 950 sq. ft meeting
room for children's storytelling and other programs.
>>   A computer training lab with 14 computers for word processing
and Internet access.
>>   Computers for access to the Library's reference resources and
catalog.
>>   Six additional computers exclusively for word processing.
>>  Wireless Internet Access.
>>   A collection of approximately 46,000 volumes.

World Short Story Discussion Group
This program features short stories written by world authors. Usually
two stories are discussed each month. Meetings are usually the fourth
Thursday of the month at the Burke Branch Library, 4701 Seminary Road,
