The Gift of Giving

There are several ways to give to the Library. The Alexandria Library Foundation was formed to enhance the Alexandria Library's services through private donations. More information, including naming opportunities, can be found on the Foundation homepage. The Library has recently posted two Wish Lists on Amazon.com: an Adult Wish List and a Juvenile Wish List for enhancing the adult and children's collections. Each branch also has its own Friends group. To learn more about these groups, visit the Friends of Alexandria Library page. Finally, the Library does accept gently used material donations. Please contact a branch of your choice to find out if they are receiving material donations at this time.

Alexandria Library's E-Journal A-Z List

We provide access to electronic reference works and databases of searchable articles from thousands of periodicals. Our E-Journal A-Z list cross searches our online databases that provide titles with full-text, indexed, and abstracted materials. If a title is not available, please check our online catalog or WorldCat as it may be available in print. Click E-Journal A-Z to begin a search of the list.

Literary Groups and Book Club Kits

We offer several programs of literary interest, such as the Latin American Book Discussion Group, the Great Books Discussion Group, and Book Clubs at Barrett and Duncan. We also offer 30 “Book Clubs to Go!” kits, providing patrons and book club members with everything they need to begin and run a book club of their own. Click here to get started!
